# Codex CLI

> Add the Pumati MCP server to the Codex CLI and sign in.

Two commands add the server and sign you in. The Codex app and the IDE extension read the same configuration.

## Setup

1. Add the server.

   ```bash
   codex mcp add pumati --url https://mcp.pumati.app/mcp
   ```
2. Sign in.

   ```bash
   codex mcp login pumati
   ```
3. Your browser opens pumati.app: sign in and allow what this connection may do.

The first command writes this to `~/.codex/config.toml`, which you can also add by hand:

```toml
[mcp_servers.pumati]
url = "https://mcp.pumati.app/mcp"
```

`publish_test` recruits real people and spends credits, so Codex asks you before each call, and `codex exec` (no one to ask) refuses it. To let Codex publish without asking, add `tools.publish_test.approval_mode = "approve"` under `[mcp_servers.pumati]`.

> **Needs an MCP plan**

> Connecting an agent needs an Indie or Team plan ([subscription](https://pumati.app/pt-BR/developers/subscription.md)). Choose one at [pumati.app/dev/credits](https://pumati.app/dev/credits).

## Try it

Once connected, ask your agent:

```text
List my Pumati apps and what this connection is allowed to do.
```

```text
Draft a 10-minute Pumati test of our onboarding flow with 5 testers on the latest build. Show me the cost before publishing.
```

```text
Check my Pumati tests for new feedback and summarize the problems testers found, in their own words.
```
